*WEB DEVELOPER / DESIGNER* * * * * *Location: ROCHESTER, NY* * * *Duration: 12 Months Plus* * * *Rate: Open* * * *Interview Type – F2F in required* DESCRIPTION: Consults with clients and other project team members to design, build and manage websites. Develops installation programs for websites. May negotiate contracts/agreements with software vendors and other internet companies. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures (i.e. SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript). Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. May require a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED: •Experience developing server-side software based around a relational database using PHP (future J2EE (JBoss), EJB and JSP). •Experience developing client-side software using javascript, ajax and flash. (experience with jQuery a plus). •Experience building RESTful APIs. •Knowledge of HTML5. •Experience with the UNIX OS (Linux preferable). •Relational Database experience.
