Short Description:
Seeking a (BODI) ETL Developer for a contract opportunity.
This position will focus on analysis, design, development, and problem
resolution related to data and relationships among data elements
within a system.
The selected candidate will also play a key role in development of
data extracts, transformation, and load (ETL) processes.


Complete Description:

Position Accountabilities:
1.Data analysis and requirements definition:
·Analyzes and defines data requirements in support of the business
processes.
·Collaborates with business analysts in the process of interpreting
system requirements.
·Documents the types and structure of the business data.
·Proactively manages end user expectations

2.Design and Programming:

·Prepares detailed specifications for data related modifications and
development of new data-centric processes.
·Analyzes and mines business data to identify patterns and
correlations among the various data points
·Performs mapping and tracing data from system to system in order to
solve a given business or system problem
·Develops and unit tests ETL programs to extract, transform, and load
the data as necessary.
·Defines and supports test data
·Collaborates with and reviews the work of other data programmer
resources.

Specifications:
Minimum Education:  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related
field.  However, upon evaluation, equivalent related experience and/or
education may be substituted for degree requirement.

Minimum Experience:
(3) years work experience in Business Objects Data Integrator (BODI)
ETL development.
(2) years of RDMS experience (Oracle preferred)
(2) years of SQL development and analysis


Requires ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience:
(2) years experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA)

Experience working in an agile or Scrum development environment.
Biology or healthcare background/training.
Key Knowledge: Knowledge of prototype development within research and
development.


Required / Desired Skills:
Interpreting data models and establishing BODI architecture
Ability to verify data flows and create ad-hoc unit tests
Data analysis, with an emphasis on assessing data quality and
recommending solutions
Unix/Linux Scripting Shell Dialects

Skills with some of the following;

HTML, Java, Perl, Ruby, building cross-browser and cross-platform web-
based applications.

Requires strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively
and professionally communicate with management and staff as well as
demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills with the ability to
prioritize own work and multi-task.
