Job Description: As the Senior User Experience Designer, you will serve as a group leader in the following areas of the UI/UX department for Client’s White Label Group: "Strategy definition for User Interface and Information Architecture "Interaction Design & wireframe creation "Front-end quality assurance and pre-launch review Your role will involve working independently to make usability decisions on how to best present functionality and information that adheres to business requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the mentorship and best- practice definition to a team of project-specialized User Experience Designers and Junior Designers. This position best suits a creative problem-solver with an eye for how to best engage users in a highly complex e-commerce environment. Experience Required: "5+ years experience as a user experience designer or interaction designer "Strong portfolio of work "Significant experience developing interface mockups, annotated wireframes, and design specifications "Demonstrated ability to document complex information in an e-commerce environment. "Previous experience in mobile commerce a huge plus Required Knowledge and Skills "Significant experience documenting user interfaces with Visio or similar tools (Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Axure, etc.) "Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities "Solid understanding of principles of information organization and user interface design "Thorough understanding of established user interface standards as well as cutting-edge design conventions and interactions "Knowledge of fundamental design principles and disciplines that affect typography, color use, animation, composition, use of space, distribution of information, etc. Behaviour Characteristics: "Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills "Strong presentation skills "Ability to multi-task and prioritize "Ability to communicate design concepts effectively, build consensus, and justify decisions Scope of Influence "Work directly with Business Analysts to capture user flows and detailed wireframes based on high level user stories "Lead Interaction Design team to design elegant user interfaces and rich user experiences "Interact with and provide direction to technology, content, and product development teams "Influence and cooperate with other departments to ensure consistency and quality across the platform Preferred Education, Experience, and Capabilities "Degree in information science, information design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields "Visual design experience "Usability and IA experience "Agile experience "Experience with designing user interfaces on mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) "Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver Please complete the following and send back with your updated resume.
