Leads the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides expert-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of highly complex database issues. Recognized as an internal expert on database management issues. Leads the planning, design, and usage of data resources. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. *Candidate will be required to have strong experience in* * * *- Install, configure, administer and manage Oracle 9i/10g and MS SQL 2000/2005 databases in Dev, QA, UAT, SIT, PROD and BCP environments* *- Performance monitoring, Database and SQL tuning* *- Perform database Backups and Recovery, when needed* *- Design, test, implement, maintain and control the organization's physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments.* *- Participate in the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards for current and future applications.* *- Provide in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues in a timely and professional manner.* *- Participate in the planning, design and usage of data resources.* *- Provide support to development team on infrastructure and DBA Support.* - Provide a daily status of application and performance. - May develop detailed data models and entity relationship diagrams. - Flexibility to work during off-hours if needed while the primary area of expertise will be on Oracle and MS SQL database administration, candidate will also be required to cross train and provide level one support for other applications and RDBMS Platforms.
