Position: Conversion Consultants
Duration: 5+ month Location: Columbia, SC MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the skills requirements listed in the Beeline outline, the following are mandatory requirements for awarding this contract. Failure to do any of the requirements listed below will automatically disqualify that organization from this contract. 1. Resumes with contact information must be submitted with all bids. SCESC reserves the right to contact any and all of the personnel recommend. 2. All persons bid in this request for services must have completed at least three conversions from ADABAS Natural to C-SHARP MSSQL. One of the conversions must have been within the last two (2) years. The following format must be sent with their resumes: . Name and address of the Organization the conversion was completed for. . Name and phone numbers of the primary contact(s) for verification of work and quality and success of the conversion. SCESC reserves the right to contact some of the individuals referenced. 3. Resumes must be augmented with the skills listed in the beeline section of this request with the offering vendor certifying that the individuals they are recommended are in fact qualified for the skills requested. This list must accompany the resumes, but separately identified so that it can easily be reviewed by SCESC. SCESC does not want to have to search each resume against the requirements consequently failure to do this will disqualify that company's bid. 4. By offering the individuals for this work, the vendor either has these individuals on staff or contract. Any substitution may, at SCESC's sole discretion, disqualify that bid. 5. If the vendor is bidding employee personnel rather than contracted personnel, the vendor must agree that the individuals will not be transferred to another job in the company prior to the completion of this project. The individual contracted will be: 1. Responsible for the overall design of the enterprise wide data/information architecture, which maps to the enterprise architecture and balances the need for access against security and performance requirements. 2. Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. 3. Focuses on enterprise wide data modeling and database design. 4. Defines data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. 5. Facilitates consistent business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the enterprise level. The Human Resources System consists of a master file hosted by VSAM on the Zseries Server with a number of supporting ADABAS files on the Zseries as well as some COBOL. While listed as an ADABAS Upgrade, this is actually moving Natural / ADABAS and Natural / VSAM as well as COBOL programs to a client server WinTel (Windows based Intel) platform. All ADABAS and VSAM file structures will be moved to MSSQL. The Natural programs must be written in C-SHARP using the MSSQL data base. The Zseries COBOL programs may use WinTel COBOL or C-SHARP and will also access the MSSQL data base. There are also 14 Easytrieve programs (primarily reports) that will need to be changed to access the MSSQL data base.
