Job Title: MAINFRAME STORAGE RESOURCE Location: Torrance,CA Duration: 6 Month Required Skills Mainframe Storage Resource Principal Responsibilities for this Mainframe Storage resource: Responsible for overseeing and providing direction for the mainframe storage systems (both disk and tape) Design mainframe storage solutions that follow the technology standards and meet the needs of the business. Implement and integrate new hardware and software products into existing storage infrastructure. Monitor system utilization and develop models for sizing and workload distribution within the storage infrastructure. Creates and implements mainframe storage administration procedures, standards, guidelines, tools, services. Perform analysis and directs problem resolution related to mainframe storage. Participate in the planning, design, integration and implementation of standard storage infrastructure technical solution for IT and business projects. Plan, install and test storage and its related functions, enforce and monitor policies and standards to ensure an efficient environment during theproject implementation phase. Interface and work closely with Project Managers on project implementations. Interface with engineering, operations, and platform team to coordinate implementation timeline and deliverables for any given project requirement. Interface with vendors and project sponsors for problem handling and resolutions during project implementation. To ensure a proper handover and sign off of the project implementation to Operations Support To prepare and implement system related procedures in compliance with standards in the projects. To ensure timely delivery of project deliverables within project scope, deadline of the project and the given budget of the projects. Perform cost/benefit analysis and make recommendation of acquisition or enhancement of hardware and its related function for any project request. 24/7 on-call support Required Skills for this Mainframe Storage resource.
