*Job Description:*
Assist client with the Conceptual DW Architecture, Data Principles,
Governance and Standards as it relates to Teradata and Industry Best
Practices
Training and Knowledge transfer to client Personnel on Teradata design best
practices
Will create a detailed physical design to convert the LDM into physical
databases, tables, indexes and views
Assist client in the physical design that will be transferred into
executable Data Definition Language ("DDL") code. The DDL will be
implemented and tested using a sub-set of production level data, if
available, or test data. This ensures the design is functional and ready to
receive production data.
Work with client on the discovery, validation, tracking, and resolution of
integration issues for the Planning Foundation ProjectWork with client to
ensure that the architecture encompasses and supports all layers (Staging,
Work, and Presentation) of a data warehouse from both an operational as well
as an enterprise or capability standpoint
Perform analysis to determine and document best logical and technical design
including source to target mapping, transformation logic, guidance on best
tool to perform transformations, document Test plan approach and scripts,
database layout.
Work with client Technical team on ETL (Informatica) mappings to effectively
use Teradata and Informatica
