This infrastructure and standards used in the solution require a knowledge of EMC, Network Appliance, and IBM TSM, and CISCO FC switches. Position Requirements Excellent knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, SCSI, and Fibre Channel technologies in an EMC/Netapp and Veritas environment. This includes SRDF, Timefinder, ECC, Workload Analyizer, Optimizer, etc, as well as other SANS/NAS tools. In-depth understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and provide regular status. Solid experience with developing backup and restore procedures with tape/disk drive technologies, either Netbackup or TSM prefered. Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting storage servers and software. Experience working with Veritas Clustering and Volume Manager as they pertain to storage. Familiar with EMC, Netapp, Brocade and Cisco SAN/NAS components. Solid storage related skills in Unix and Windows operating systems, VMWare a plus.. Project management/project lifecycle experience. Storage performance analysis a plus. Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong technical documentation skills. Ability to conduct research into storage issues, standards, and products. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Highly self motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience and fundamental work ethic of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
