*Job Title: Java DeveloperLocation: Harrisburg, PaDuration: 6 monthsDirect Client PositionNote: Websphere experience and Java certification are a plus. Looking for a candidate with 8+ years of experience.Perform knowledge transfer/transition activities to facilitate the use and maintenance of developed components. Highly desired - The selected candidate in this position serves as a Java J2EE Programmer 5 on the CDSv3 project as well as other high priority IT Portfolio Projects at PennDOT. The Programmer 5 will work under the guidance of PennDOT IT Managers, Application Developer Administrators, Senior Application Developers to gather requirements, design, code, test, and implement. The programming language will be Java/J2EE running on IBM WebSphere. Some of the primary supporting tools are ClearCase, ClearQuest, Functional Tester, Manual Tester, and Performance Tester. The backend databases include IBM DB/2 on mainframe zOS, Oracle 11g, and SQL Server. Some of the other middleware products currently used are IBM Websphere MQ, and Message Broker. Object Oriented Programming Experience. Required 5 Years Java Enterprise Edition (experience with Eclipse and/or Rational Application Developer) Required 8 Years Database Programming/SQL Experience with major DBMS (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) Required 5 Years Web Services Experience (SOAP, RESTful) Required 5 Years Hibernate Framework Required 4 Years Superior oral and written communication skills. Required Java Certification Highly desired Messaging Experience (MQ/JMS). Highly desired 2 Years XML Experience (XML, XSD, XSLT). Highly desired 2 Years IBM Rational Tool Suite (i.e. Clear Quest/Clear Case, Manual Tester/Functional Tester) Training/Experience Highly desired IBM Websphere Experience.
