Title: Sr Software Engineer, Android – Digital and Mobile posted on 2014-09-17 16:32:55 Job Description:Job Title: Sr Software Engineer, Android – Digital and Mobile Duration: Contract/C2H/Full time/ Permanent Location: Foster City, CA *Responsibilities:* o Develop next generation mobile payment applications, write solid code following best development practices. o Work as a part of scrum team executing the products requirements working with UX, product management and other teams in an agile manner. o Provide subject matter expertise for Android platform. o Develop android framework and UI based on best practices. o Execute POCs for visionary initiatives. *Required Skills:* o Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time. (required) o Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. (required) o Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform. (required). o Design and develop native mobile applications for Android (Apps & SDK libraries). o Passion for user experience and knowledge of Android Application Patterns as per the Android Development Guidelines. o Experience with android development tools (Android Studio, Gradle build etc) o Knowledge Android platform security practices. o Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems. o Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, source control (GIT, SVN etc) and peer code-reviews. o Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives. o Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment. Job Requirements: *Education/Experience:* o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field o 5+ years’ experience in Software Development using Java, Objective-C, C or C++ o 2+ years of Android Mobile Application Development experience.
