The Secretary of State’s Office collects, secures, and makes accessible a wide variety of public records; it ensures the integrity of elections; and it enhances commerce.As a senior software engineer you will work on application design, coding, and defect correction. Your ability to work through complex problems and make sound decisions will help you and the teams you work with make the best applications possible. In this position, you will work closely with business analysts, QAs, DBAs, UI/UX desginers, and other developers who share a common goal: delivering highly reliable and maintainable systems that bring value to Colorado residents and businesses.Technical Experience:5 years of professional web application development using Java (Struts, JSF, HTML, CSS)5 years of enterprise level development using JEE or related technologies (JPA, JDO, EJB3)5 years of OO design and programming experience3 years of relational database experience3 years of agile development experience1+ years of continuous integration experience (Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo)1+ years of experience with web services and XMLAs part of the selection process a small coding sample will be requested.
