*Top Skills: need for an experienced QA/test Engineer with a background in
data warehouse testing and ETL to work as a member of managing the data
warehouse and 5 major databases which hold the data for a distributed
claims processing system using an enterprise services model based on a
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).*
- *Computer Science Degree or related discipline*
- *5 years of software quality assurance experience*
- *Software development background*
- *Demonstrated strong ETL and data warehouse testing experience*
- *Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills*
- *Strong data analysis skills with proven experience analyzing source
data and business rules*
- *Experience working with distributed team members*
- *Extremely detail-oriented with respect to test documentation and
communication*
- *Strong database skills writing complex queries*
- *Demonstrated experience managing and validating large volumes of data*
- *Responsibilities*
- *The candidate must be a QA/test engineer who has good testing
skills, technical debugging and troubleshooting skills, and the
analytical
and communication skills to work within a QA Team testing a data
warehouse.*
- *The candidate must have experience converting ETL specs containing
business data requirements as well as SQL queries to test cases and
validating very large datasets.*
- *The candidate must be able to compare XML and flat files to data
warehouse tables.*
- *It is expected that the candidate will have experience using test
and defect management skills, Quality Center/ALM is preferred.*
- *Hands-on experience testing data warehouses is required and the
candidate must take the responsibility for analyzing and
understanding the
database tables, data warehouse structure, and the data model.*
- *The candidate must have proven ability to work successfully within
an onshore-offshore model as an independent self-starter able to take on
the responsibility for analyzing and understanding data requirements.*
- *Interview: If your candidate is selected for an interview, then it
will potential be two rounds. First is phone and second is in person.
