IT Systems Engineer Location : Pittsburgh PA. Duration : 6+ Months Candidates we have submitted in the past were rejected because they lacked a key experience… work with a hardware product in a federally regulated environment, such as medical devices, transportation, defense, aerospace, etc. An experienced IT Systems Engineering professional to help with Software Configuration Management. These activities will be executed as part of developing healthcare integration products and medical devices. The ideal candidate will have had experience in: creating virtualized development platforms; installing and configuring operating systems and layered products; automating via scripting, cross system distributed software assemblies; configuring software compliance tools; designing and configuring integrated build and test environments; documentation for use and audit; audit / validation of installed and configured platforms and applications; administration of code and issue management systems. TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. In-depth knowledge of production server administration and support. 2*. In-depth knowledge of industry-standard technologies (i.e. Java/J2EE or .Net, NSIS, ANT, LDAP, JIRA, etc.) as applied to Software Configuration Management.* 3. Experience with *Windows and Linux operating system installation in virtualized (i.e. VMWare ESX) environments.* 4. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems with minimal oversight. 5. Demonstrated possession of excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. 6. Experience in developing scripts using one of the *Power Shell, Bash, Perl, or Python languages*. 7. Experience with configuring and maintaining a relational database (i.e. Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, etc.). 8. Experience with administration of a software version control system (i.e. MKS, Mercurial, SVN, VSS, CVS, etc.). 9.
