*Skills:*
Experience with SQL programming against an Oracle RDBMS on data warehouse
or business intelligence projects
Experience with business intelligence tools including *IBM Cognos*
Experience with development and support using dimensional/star-schema based
data structures including fact tables (commonly referred to as Kimball
Experience designing and developing Cognos (version 8.2 and above) reports
using Cognos Suite
Experience designing and developing Cognos Framework Manager Model version
8.2 and above)
Experience designing and developing Cognos Framework Manager Model and
reports using Cognos Suite (version 10.1 and above)
Proficiency with Cognos 10.2 and Workspace Advance features
Software development experience with *Oracle RDBMS 11g*
Software development experience with IBM DB2 SQL
Experience with HTML and JavaScript, as used for Cognos reporting
Experience writing design specifications, test scripts and other required
documentation
Experience developing queries against normalized as well as dimensional
data structures
Experience establishing standards based on industry best practices
Knowledge of property and casualty insurance systems
Experience using Oracle SQL*Plus, Toad, Oracle SQL Developer
Experience in measuring and tuning the performance of Oracle data warehouse
SQL queries
Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS
Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Clarity)
Experience performing peer reviews
Ability to effectively communicate with business and IT staff, excellent
comm skills a must
Ability to quickly adapt to changes, enhancements, and new technologies
Ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with
team members
