Location- new haven CT 6-12 month contract *Senior Applications Administrator* - Support the operation and sustainment of distributed systems enterprise application suite. We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Application Support Administrator to provide support and technical expertise for a suite of web and enterprise software platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with the internal IT staff and relevant business users to provide production support services of tier one applications. We expect you to live technology and love learning and figuring out creative ways to solve problems. distributed systems consist of enterprise and departmental vendor supplied and custom developed insurance and financial client/server, multi-tier, web based, in-house & hosted applications primarily running in a windows environment(some Linux). *Duties will include but are not limited to:* · Analyze application/Infrastructure strategies to best deliver highly available systems. · Plan, maintain, layout, advise technical teams and system/application peers on infrastructure layout/ system settings for distributed environment application portfolio. · Perform application installation, application upgrades, and system patch maintenance. · Perform Level 2/3 application/system trouble shooting, including root cause analysis. · Communicate with business to understand application upgrade/ new application requirements. · Create/maintain technical documentation including solutions design and application run books. · Own primary support responsibilities of delegated tier one applications. *Skills/Experience requirements:* · 10+ years of overall IT experience · Intermediate Windows Server Administration experience (Win 2003 Server & >)(Win 7 client) · Working knowledge of Virtual Environments (desktop & server) · Intermediate level of Applications Solutions Design experience · Intermediate level of Middleware (WebSphere App Server, IIs, Tomcat, etc) experience · Solid understanding of Network/Communications Topology (routers, firewalls, FTP & TCP/IP protocols, RDP, DNS, Terminal Services) · Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle · Ability to multi task between Project Development and day to day steady state KTLO duties. · Determine application delivery failure root cause using various windows utilities (fiddler, perfmon, etc) & app diagnostics · Some scripting experience (VB, Java, PowerShell, SQL, Kshell scripts) for app monitoring or prod code promotion. · Experience configuring and using application and system monitoring systems · SQL Server (connectivity, transaction logs operation) relational db experience · Intermediate level of system performance analysis and capacity planning experience · Expert ability towards configuration and Interpretation of windows servers logs and application specific logs · Excellent business and technical communications skills · Leadership skills & self-motivated · Experience with ITIL · Ability to think outside of the box, create/ drive new processes towards continuous improvement. · Analyze application architecture and its infrastructure components as to provide technical improvements to increase support efficiency and provide the highest level of system stability. *Additional Nice to have:* · Prior experience with Insurance or financial based application support · Worked as an Application or Solutions Design Architect · Hands on SQL Server DBA Skills - Princeton Financial Services - PAM for Mortgages, PAM for Securities Applications - FIS Prime Suite - AML Application - Serena SBM workflow - Sharepoint - Exchange - Imaging system background Regards, *Sara Wilson* - Staffing Manager Direct : 646-340-0603 sara.wil...@itbtalent.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
