*Summary*
The Business Analyst/System Analyst is responsible for identifying and
documenting all the hardware, software and networking components,
interdependencies, and associated configuration parameters Business Analyst
will be responsible for feasibility study validation of the Data Center
Master inventory. The BA will assess a variety of (DCIM) Data Center
Information Management products and proposed the best cost effective
enterprise solution. The BA will coordinate vendor resources along with
process necessary to successfully implement the final DCIM solution.


*Responsibilities*Inventory of all assets and relationships within the data
center encompass inventories of hardware and software, application
information, middleware, shared services, databases, support and the
organizations responsible for each business and technical area including
servers, databases, applications and networking devices i.e. routers,
switches, hubs, etc.
Gather additional information for each application including, ranking the
criticality of the application, business impact analysis, maintenance
windows, SLAs, and how the application interfaces to other applications and
to external clients, license agreements and maintenance contracts.
Document Floor Space, Number and Type of Racks, Power distribution, Network
and Storage Cabling for the current environment
Document issues and risks related to the existing environment including
pain points and recent outages.
Assist with identifying how this project will solve for existing issues
including heating & cooling, security, electrical, space, future expansion,
etc.
Document virtualization requirements for existing physical environment,
upgrades, security patches, end of life components (EOL), database
migrations requirements, new security requirements, impact of any on-going
initiatives, etc.

*Qualifications*
BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
5+years direct work experience in a systems analyst role.
Demonstrated track record of success at planning, analysis, design and
management of complex technical and enterprise solutions specifically Data
Center consolidations, construction and migrations.
Expert in developing functional and non-functional specifications.
Knowledge in database concepts, web services, n-tier systems, application
profiling, workflow development, virtualization concepts, storage concepts,
and networking concepts.
