*Interview mode: Phone hire* *Requirement:* *Client is seeking a talented and driven Hadoop Java Software Engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic, high-paced and innovative team environment. * The candidate must be comfortable working in Agile teams to design, prototype and build new products, and enhance existing products and tools. We prefer the candidate to have direct experience in test-driven product development, as well as demonstrated ability to process and analyze large datasets. *Roles, Responsibilities and Skills:* *•6+ years’ experience in the implementation of Java application for enterprise or enterprise style applications * •Functional and real-world knowledge and experience in the implementation of Hadoop functionality from a Java application environment. •Ability to be design and develop application code within and supporting business requirements as outlined for a Hadoop data platform •Participate in daily stand-up •Produce high-quality, maintainable software •Work independently and with other team members to develop code and acceptance criteria and design test cases •Collaborative negotiation of feature design and implementation •Speak to and demonstrate feature functionality •Obtain and incorporate user feedback •Analyze and resolve identified functional/usability software issues Job Requirements: Possess several of the following skills/experiences: *•Ability to work within an iterative software development lifecycle; under Agile development processes* *•Direct experience in Java based design and development for a data centric application (Hadoop, SQL, JDBC, JPA)* •Processing large datasets via large parallel / distributed algorithms in clustered environments (Map/Reduce concepts) •Web service protocols such as REST, SOAP •Experience with HIVE, Map Reduce, Key Val stores, HBase and related Java API’s •Experience with performance tuning at a Java API layer a strong plus •Experience with Continuous Integration Toolsets (Jenkins) a strong plus •Experience with Maven a strong plus •*Exposure to Test-Driven Development methodologies; unit testing* *•Prefer familiarity with Tomcat, Postgres (Greenplum), Hortonworks, Cloudera, Hibernate* •Prefer familiarity with *HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and/or Adobe Flex design* and development, ideally in the visualization of large, complex analytic datasets •Prefer exposure to business analysis, analytic requirements analysis, and business presentations; especially in performance improvement or customer interfacing systems (web sites, telephony, etc.) *REQUIREMENTS:* *Education & Certification* •College diploma or university degree in an information technology discipline such as computer science, information systems, engineering; or hybrid degree in business and technology (E&M, MBA, etc.). •Relevant technical field experience will override the lack of an IT-related degree. *Knowledge & Experience* *•3+ years’ experience in working in Java Development in the delivering of Hadoop based solutions.* •Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, database design, reporting structures, and so on. *•Experience with object oriented programming using Java within a Hadoop environment.* •Exposure to analytic and reporting applications is a plus. •Experience working in a UNIX or Linux operating system. •Proficient use of MS-Office suite, including Visio, Word, PowerPoint and Excel *Personal Attributes* •Works well with both internal and external teams, as both a leader and a contributor •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Comfortable presenting and providing demonstrations •Curious, creative, and accepting of new ideas •Strong analytical thinker and problem solver Thanks Regards *Swami A* Technical Recruiter *Ennovace Inc* Ph: 214-541-9378 F: 972-262-9006 sw...@ennovace.com www.ennovace.com 1801 S O'connor Rd Irving TX 75061 In my absence please contact Steven at ste...@ennovace.com (214-541-9081) Disclaimer: We respect your Online Privacy.
