Hi,
Role: Oracle Content Server10gR3 URM and UCM Expertise Duration: 3 month Location: Indianapolis, IN Rate: Market Rate Client is using Oracle Content Server 10gR3 as the main records repository for both content and records. Since the original deployment in December 2007, the rollout to different departments has been slow and steady. There are now three main groups that use the Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) to store different documents including operational procedures, registration documents, and contracts. There has been tremendous interest throughout the company to increase the use of the ECMS. The goal of this project is to rollout the ECMS to the entire company for records management. Users can store content in the system if they desire, but the primary objective is to store records in the ECMS. A contractor is needed to help with the following changes to prepare the system for rollout to the entire company. This will be a 2 month engagement to complete the pre-rollout work and assist with the initial rollout. . The Record Retention Schedule was recently updated. The new schedule must be implemented in the ECMS. Documents currently in the system must be migrated to the new record schedule. . During the original rollout, the system would be modified to specifically meet the needs of each department. One or more profiles would be created for each department that presented the metadata needed by the department. However, this approach is not pragmatic for a company-wide rollout. The ECMS will be changed from a team-centric model to a document-centric model. With a team-centric approach, a contract may have different metadata depending on the group checking-in the document. With a document-centric approach, a contract would have the same metadata regardless of the group checking-in the document. . Once groups start using the ECMS, they will need to move records from the shared network drive to the ECMS. Moving them individually through the system will be very time consuming. A bulk upload tool will be necessary to facilitate migration of documents from the share network drive to the ECMS. A successful contractor will have the following knowledge and skills. . Deep expertise with Oracle Content Server 10gR3 including URM and UCM. . Working knowledge of Physical Content Manager, Desktop Integration Suite, and Inbound Refinery. . Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux and Apache. . Understanding of document management business processes. . Good communication skills for both business and technical topics.
