*Please make sure that your candidate must have Affordable Care Act (ACA), Eligibility and Curam experience.* Job details- Lead Business Analyst Location: Based in Lincoln, Nebraska Duration: 12+ months contract Role & Responsibilities: SLG requires a Sr. Business Analyst for the State of Nebraska Medicaid Eligibility project being implemented by our partner with IBM’s Curam case management system. The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for directing the Team of Analysts with the business process redesign, Curam gap analysis and configuration strategy, ensuring that ACA and MITA requirements are satisfied in the new Eligibility system. Assists Nebraska in understanding and planning for the impact of the Eligibility System, and associated policies and procedures, on the users and citizens and serve as a subject matter expert for meeting ACA requirements. Sr. Business Analyst will be the lead communicator with the State of Nebraska on the status of analysis activities, issues and successes. This role will work directly with the Nebraska Project Sponsor to ensure their business objectives are met. Direct the team of Business Analysts on conducting JAD sessions and requirements gathering sessions. Organizes, leads and/or participates in business discussions during review meetings, including suggestions of business process improvements and changes. Supports and guides the re-alignment of the agency, its people, and their actions with critical business policies and practices related to the Eligibility System. Assist Nebraska in business process re-engineering and business readiness activities associated with the implementation of the Eligibility System. Analyzes business processes and performs needs assessments in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Will work to understand business rules and related legacy systems that support the current Medicaid eligibility business processes. Requirement is specifically for reengineering the current Medicaid eligibility processes end to end covering all aspects of Medicaid programs. Our primary requirement is to have someone who understand Medicaid Fed policies, ACA requirements and how end to end business processes work, IBM is bringing Curam experienced resources to this project but we still need the Sr. Business Analyst to have experience with Medicaid Eligibility implementations in a Curam environment. Interpret business needs and translates them into system requirements. The Sr. Business Analyst will support the project communication team with the communication and other relevant tasks as directed by the Communication Manager and outlined in the Communication Plan. Must-haves Requires ACA, Eligibility, Policy and End to End business process experience. Experience with Medicaid eligibility who understand the end to end business processes related to Medicaid programs and have extensive experience in requirement elaboration, and business design activities. Requires experience conducting business process re-engineering and business readiness activities within the social service sector including business process mapping (As-is and future state). Experience in multiple phases of projects including requirements gathering, solution analysis, design, development and testing. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and other standard diagraming, collaboration and analysis tools. Strong oral and written skills with the ability to explain complex information to a variety of audiences with differing levels of knowledge and understanding.
