SQL Server - DBA Lead 6 Month contract QUALIFICATIONS: At least 6 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2005, 2008 R2 or 2012) At least 1 year of lead experience Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in IT related fields
DESCRIPTION: •Serves as a dynamic SME for all SQL Server database related processes including backup and recovery, database integration, optimization, importation, migration, etc. •Lead the SQL Server DBA team to manage multiple third party and home grown databases •Review tables and stored procedures to ensure stability and optimization •Ensure the integrity of all data managed by our organization and affiliates •Assist with implementation and management of data security Other Requirements - •Knowledge and experience with replication and clustering •Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS and SSAS required •Experience with installation, replication, high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) •Experience with backups, restores and recovery model •Excellent understanding of SQL with experience performance tuning relational databases •Experience creating triggers, stored procedures, and complex join statements •Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills •Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment •Ability to be on-call for supporting production systems for 24X7 systems availability, for emergency support, and for systems maintenance required to be performed outside of business hours •Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA or MCSM Certification preferred •Microsoft SQL Server experience in an enterprise-class environment •Experience in database capacity planning and production support. •Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems using native & third party monitoring and troubleshooting tools •Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts •Experience engineering DR/BC and backup solutions •Experience with design and modeling •Ability to influence technical solutions in a technical forum •Broad knowledge of relational database technologies •Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail •Effective risk-assessment, project review, and decision-making skills •Ability to work independently, with little direct supervision; and to work effectively as part of a matrixed-accountability team •Ability to estimate, plan, and manage medium level projects •Commitment to effective teamwork, both within the team, and with customers and other, external organizations •Demonstrated experience leading major or strategic-level projects •Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Regards, Nimra Nayyab Technical Recruiter FAAZ Consulting LLC nimra.nay...@faazconsulting.com www.faazconsulting.com *P*Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail!
