*Programmer Analyst* ** *Madison WI* *Long Term* *Rate $48/hr Max..* *Job Description* This request is for development staff to provide applications development and support for various web applications for the Child Care program area. Data is entered via mainframe IMS/DC or web .Net, stored in DB2, and made available to end-users via .Net web applications, and Business Objects datamart reports. Project duties will be to work as part of a team to maintain and enhance applications using web technologies such as ASP.Net. and database knowledge for Oracle and DB2. The person in this position will act as a programmer analyst, working directly with lead analysts and architects to design, code, test, and implement applications changes and enhancements and new applications. Project duties will also include implementation activities such as testing and quality assurance, and development of user documentation, training materials and help screens. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with business knowledge of child care programs, prior experience with the CARES system, and familiarity with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards. The candidate should have experience working with ASP.Net web forms applications and should be willing to learn ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, JQuery and AJAX. It is beneficial to have exposure to DB2. *Comment* Hardware/Software Environment: Web Environment - W2K8 web/applications servers, UNIX database server, Oracle database, VB & VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, DB2 Connect, SQL Navigator, ASP.Net MVC, JQuery, AJAX An in person interview will be required before a final selection is made. The selected candidate may be required to complete a criminal background check. This position is budgeted for 1960 hours annually.
