Reply to sa...@sureitinc.com or satya.sur...@gmail.com *Title: Data warehouse Developer* *Duration: 4-6 month contract* *Location: Miami, FL. * The Data Warehouse Developer assists in designs, develops, tests, installs and maintains application systems, programs, functions, services and other related software components in response to enterprise needs of high complexity. The incumbent will have responsibilities for production support and maintenance of existing Database solutions. The new strategic direction will require knowledge programming for the Microsoft BI stack and SSIS integration tier. The incumbent will be responsible to fully accommodate the customer’s business needs, resolve conflicting user demands and maintain positive customer relations with strong communication and coordination. Works well in teams and takes direction well from management. The incumbent will have established areas of subject matter expertise and be able to communicate technical concepts into non-technical terms when working with non-technical constituents. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assists in the establishment of plans and provide estimates for approved projects (10%) • Gain a thorough understanding of the requirements and ensure the plan includes tasks that address each of them • Collaborate with team members to identify project risks, design mitigation plans, and development estimates Participate in Data Warehouse solutions design and development according to business and technical requirements (35%) • Assists in the design of Data Warehouse solutions based on provided detailed requirements • Assists in early stages of system analysis and development activities • Develops, tests, documents, and implements ad-hoc and project based solutions with guidance from project managers, Senior Data Warehouse developers, and management • Works within established development guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions • Submit solutions for review of compliance with best practices, standards and enterprise architecture (code review) • Submit solutions to Senior Data Warehouse developer for review for compliance with best practices standards before migrating to a higher environment Participate in quality assurance and testing to achieve quality objectives (20%) • Participate in quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedules • Perform technical support activities required for execution of test plans • Perform root cause analysis and defect correction as indicated by test results • Evaluate outcomes, report results and document findings according to current standards • Ensures work product aligns with customer requirements Participate in the implementation of solutions (25%) • Adhere to Client Change Management requirements • Consult with experienced personnel and receive guidance on strategies that minimize implementation risk and time and/or improve system reliability and performance • Prepare Change Management and Help Desk documentation according to implementation requirements • Perform solution implementation activities as directed and according to current standards and policies Provide system support for Stabilization of Production Environment (10%) • Document incident occurrence and resolution(s) applied using designated repositories • Consult with Senior Data Warehouse personnel as required for effective incident resolution • Resolve development and support issues of moderate complexity or risk before deadline WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Describe the work experiences that are critical to fulfill the key accountabilities of this job.
