The is a high visibility program for our client’s business. *Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team? *- These individuals will be part of a team already working on this initiative. *(Name of team, size of team, etc.)* - These resources will be a part of the Pharmacy Benefits Service team. This team supports green field application development for the prescription focused business unit. · Work with software development professionals building portal applications in the J2EE/Portal environment · Build and manage relationships with business team to understand their goals · Propose technology solutions to enable the business to meet/exceed those goals · Engage in application architecture and design decisions · Deliver a robust self-service environment for the end user community Implement/maintain a repeatable iterative software development methodology · Manage SDLC processes and associated artifacts · Ensure ongoing compliance with SDLC processes · Communicate with stakeholders and management team on a regular basis in a concise manner · Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions. · Solve complex production issues Interact with business team to define the business requirements and scope for a given work stream · Lead a group of Software Developers to define and drive software engineering best practices for successful software development, using Agile methodologies and design patterns · Work collaboratively with Business Owners, Architects, Infrastructure and Quality groups to ensure deliverables meet requirements and quality standards · Track delivery team status, identify, raise and mitigate issues and risks · Ensure development team is following development best practices, conduct design and code reviews as appropriate through life cycle · Measure and improve team velocity through continuous improvements to process and/or technology · Identify strengths and weaknesses of team members, and utilize resources appropriately · What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? Spring 2.5+, Hibernate 3.5+, and Web Services [at least one of CXF, Axis, or Jersey] experience 2+ years Unix and/or Linux experience. · Experience delivering web-based technology solutions to meet business needs Where is the work to be performed?
