Responsibilities
* Contribute to implementing our technology strategy to build out a
common, scalable technical infrastructure footprint adapting best practices
to ensure robust software architecture is developed.
* Lead roadmap projects through the development and implementation
phases of the product development life cycle.
* Collaborate in a positive and cohesive manner with Product Managers,
Product Designers, and Project Managers to deliver quality, innovative and
efficient technology solutions on schedule.
* Mentor less senior developers in architecture, standards, best
practices and approaches within the technical infrastructure.
* Develop and support applications server side using NET Framework
(C#, ADO.NET, XML, SOAP), COM and SQL/Sybase database.
* Build out and enhance front to back trading, risk and P&L systems
* Design of new software components and services.
* Write technical code documentation
* Maintenance of existing base of software, including the
implementation of fixes and enhancements
* Second-line support existing applications (i.e. escalation from
support to development team)
* Test Systems (e.g. unit, system, integration, stress, regression,
migration)
* Working side-by-side with the business team to define and spec out
application requirements
* Prepare technical code and support documentation for the delivered
application components.
* Adhere to set coding standards, procedures and techniques.
* Work with other IT groups to configure, implement and support
production.
* Involved in full software development lifecycle project (SDLC)
activities
* Investigating and resolving defects
* Work with other IT groups to manage production code releases and
troubleshoot production issues
Technology Requirements
*Strong Microsoft development skills (5+ Years)
*Front end development using HTML, JavaScript (5+ Years)
*Web Services (SOAP, XML, WSDL) ,Database (5+ Years)
*Strong Front end web development skills
*Effective analysis of new and existing applications and platforms
*Efficient Coding (i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures, techniques
and performance tuning)
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing within IT and
with end users
*Strong understanding of database technologies (sp, triggers etc).
*Strong understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies
*Strong understanding of architecture, performance tuning and application
resiliency
*Development Lead
*Be Involved in full development lifecycle development projects
Desired Skills
Testing experience in the Investment Banking industry, particularly the
testing of applications supporting Credit Syndication, Trading and Risk
products
