This new web service will be utilized by the CJLEADS application to provide law enforcement officers an “offender watch” capability alerting criminal justice professionals when an offender has a change in status within the criminal justice system. Description of work This position server as a Senior Developer and performs systems analysts, design, coding, testing and documentation for MCAWARE web services. The position must interact with analysts, other developers and project management staff assigned to the team. The individual must have the ability to communicate efficiently in oral and written form, and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships within and outside the team. Expertise in the design and implementation of criminal justice applications is highly desirable. Responsible will include the following: Review of requirements, use cases and designs Coding of web service components Coding of data objects Work with the design teams to maintain web patterns library Adhere to development best practices including test driven development and agile methodologies Unit testing of all coded modules Documentation and communications Knowledge, skills and abilities Required skills: Expert understanding and 2+ years experience with: REST, JSON, OAuth2, Spring 4 Web services, JEE and web service design patterns. Additional Desired skills: Additional experience with developing single page web applications using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS is desirable.
