We are looking for a senior Software Build and Release Engineer with
extensive experience in building and deploying Oracle E-Business Suite
(R12) of applications.  The position will act as a primary technical
principal and is responsible for the delivery of Enterprise Oracle HR and
Financial systems.  The position will also work closely with the
engineering teams to create consistent and repeatable code and service
deployments.  An ideal candidate will have a strong build and deployment as
well as operations background with development experience a plus.  The
candidate must be able to, from day one, roll up his/her sleeves and hit
the ground running, and bring his/her experience to the team.  The
candidate must possess a “can do” attitude who is a team-player including
sharing of knowledge and provide mentorship to apprentices.



*Job Duties and Responsibilities:*



·         Build and Deploy Oracle Financials/HR applications

·         Maintain/Monitor/Troubleshoot Oracle Financials/HR application
environments

·         A technical mentor to State Fund build/deploy staff

·         Researches tools, techniques and methods for accomplishing
seamless integration.

·         Implement and manage continuous build, integrated build,
automated unit testing and deployment processes

·         Own all customized Build Automation and Continuous Integration
scripts, templates and processes.

·         Troubleshoot compile and build failures, and facilitate
resolution.

·         Optimize phased-release approach to product development and
testing; implements tools for configuration management, defect tracking and
change control.

·         Support release readiness by managing the creation of all release
artifacts required by Release Management policies.

·         Deploy the release of software components into pre-production
environments.

·         Create and maintain the continuous integration process
documentation.

·         Integrate code check-in rules and test automation harnesses into
the continuous integration system to support quality objectives.

·         Work closely with Development teams and Technical Leads to drive
build automation standards.

·         Work with Operations and Release Management teams to help achieve
a high quality of release management.



*Required Experience:*

·         5+ years experience as a Build/Release engineer in Oracle EBS R12
environment.

·         Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 environment.

·         5+ years of Application DBA experience dealing with applying
patches, deploying and maintaining the systems

·         5+ years knowledge of associated Oracle technologies e.g. Apache,
WebLogic, Concurrent Manager, Workflow Mailer, Server setup, and Java

·         5+ years experience in deploying the code using FNDLOAD and other
utilities

·         5+ years of hands-on experience as application DBA with a
thorough understanding of the Oracle Financials/HR modules

·         5+ years hands on experience as an Application System
Administrator capable to fulfill the major responsibilities of maintaining
the application tier

·         Extensive experience supporting, maintaining and deploying Oracle
EBS modules utilized by State Fund (e.g. Financials, HRMS, Self-Service,
Workflow, etc)

·         Detailed knowledge of Oracle Technology stack

·         Strong experience in build/deploy scripting and automation

·         Strong experience in build/deploy troubleshoot and environment
provisioning including roles and responsibilities

·         Robust understanding of build automation (Jenkins, maven, stash,
etc)

·         Capable of mentor others and lead by example

·         Experience in installation, set-up, and management of build
servers

·         Strong experience with Clearcase, TFS, SVN or any similar SCM
system required.

·         Strong experience with build management tools required.

·         Excellent scripting skills related to build and release processes
and tools.

·         Solid knowledge of best practices, processes and tools required
to support a successful Continuous Integration system.

·         Comfortable working in Agile / iterative development environments
and able to drive the process.

·         Documentation of work in regards to bug reports, systems
analysis, application monitoring, and common task reporting

·         Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams,
installation/configuration documents and release notes

·         Assist in establishing and implementing configuration management
program and policies

·         Troubleshoot and debug build/deployment and
environment/infrastructure issues

·         Collaborate with development and other technology teams on
requirements definition, build/deploy/capacity planning and process
refinement

·         Excellent communication skills.
