The Big Data Engineer contractor need is more of a systems person than a developer. They will support the clients AWS environment. He/she will need experience in Redshift and managing any flavor of Hadoop. Client is seeking a Big Data Systems Engineer to join the Systems team. The Engineer will be responsible for the build out, management and support of the Big Data clusters based on AWS Redshift, Hadoop and other Big Data technologies, in support of Advanced Analytic applications. The Candidate should have deep expertise in system & data administration functions for a complex; multi-system and multi-platform networks. SQL Server skills are highly desirable. Systems Engineer will be responsible to provide the support to the Analytics team and the user community. They will also be responsible for code migration. This role requires a service oriented mentality with a strong sense of ownership over incidents, and a resolution of issues in alignment with the SLAs *Both AWS and Redshift are required!* *Key Responsibilities include:* · Implementation and ongoing administration of Big Data infrastructure, configuration and tweaking of the environment for optimal performance · Align with the Analytics team to propose and deploy new software environments to expand existing environments · Manage and review Hadoop log files · File system management and monitoring · HDFS support and maintenance · Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability · Collaborating with systems and foundation teams to install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required · Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity practice in Hadoop stack · Experience in writing shell scripts using scripting languages including Perl, Python, or Ruby · Hands on experience with Apache Hadoop Ecosystem components such as Pig, Hive, HBase · Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL database concepts · Experience with distributed, scalable databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, HBase · Support production deployments *Qualifications & Requirements:* · Well versed in installing & managing distributions of Hadoop (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, EMR, etc.) · Hands on experience with AWS Data Pipeline, Kinesis, Redshift. · Previous experience with Denodo or Composite · Previous experience with AWS Spark is a plus · Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting Hadoop Clusters · Strong knowledge in open source monitoring tools and Hadoop monitoring tools. · A deep understanding of Hadoop design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the factors that affect distributed system performance. · Prior experience with AWS Kineis, · Good understanding of ETL processes. · Ability to independently learn new technologies through research and vendor provided documentation. · Ability to work independently and proactively with a minimum of supervision. · Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. *Preferred Educations, Skills and Experience:* · BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field · 8+ years of IT experience · 3-5 years of experience in deploying and administering Hadoop Clusters · 2-3 years of experience with SQL Server · Experienced in deployment and Administration for different Hadoop distribution for leading organizations, which deal with strong enterprise-scale solutions architecture and implementation. -- * Thanks and Regards* *Tapan* *Business Development Manager* *Email*: *ta...@technocraftsol.com* <ta...@technocraftsol.com> *Contact*: *614-664-7644* *Yahoo ID*: *tapan_technocraft* *Gmail ID: **tapan.technocraft* *Website*: www.technocraftsol.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
