Feedback we rec’d on a rejected candidate that we had subbed: when I asked
him technical questions about BizTalk development the answers he gave were
vague and they were not direct answers to my questions.  In talking to him
he revealed that on his recent assignment he does not work with
orchestrations and much of his integration work is with SAP systems.  I can
understand that he may not remember the specifics if he is not actively
working in those areas but I’m looking for someone that can come in and
start contributing on day one.



*So we need to make sure our next submittals can give detailed and clear
technical answers, can do development, and that their integration work is
related to SAP systems primarily.  *



*Job Summary  *Develop and document business brokering integration
processes, which are based on a Service Oriented Architecture.


Duties and Responsibilities

   - Developing and implementing integration solutions using BizTalk.
   - Designing solutions that follow technical standards and established
   architectural guidelines
   - Work with functional and business analysts to define requirements and
   create technical design documents.
   - Modifying existing BizTalk solutions to accommodate changes and defect
   resolution
   - Defining and executing unit and system test plans and documenting
   results
   - Advise on and develop connections to general infrastructure
   (monitoring, error handling, reporting etc)
   - Provide configuration, deployment and service documentation.
   - Support QA and testing procedures




Skills Required

   - Proven experience with designing, testing, and implementing solutions
   using Biztalk 2013/R2
   - Experience in .NET software development with Microsoft technologies
   using C#, .NET Framework 4.0 and above, SQL Server 2012, Visual Studio
   2013.
   - Thorough understanding of Enterprise Application Integration and
   Service Oriented Architecture.
   - Proven experience with understanding and implementing integration
   patterns.
   - Good understanding of B2B scenarios (gateways, security, business
   partner agreements).
   - Extensive experience working with SOAP, WSDL and XML Web Services
   - Thorough understanding of WS-* standards
   - In depth knowledge of using XML, XPath queries, XSLT, and complex
   schemas
   - Orchestration development experience including direct bound ports,
   call orchestration, parallel convoys, debug tracing, multi-part messaging.
   - Experience developing and implementing custom pipeline components
   - Extensive experience with message transformations and mappings
   - Solid understanding of debugging and unit testing BizTalk solutions
   - Experience with creating BAM enabled BizTalk applications
   - Experience with BizTalk deployments and administration
   - Understanding the configuration and interaction of BizTalk artifacts
   - Solid understanding of versioning strategies for BizTalk artifacts and
   services
   - Knowledge in tuning and performance monitoring BizTalk applications
   - Experience in using the BizTalk Deployment Framework for deployments
   - Knowledge in creating MSBuild tasks and Powershell scripting
   - In depth knowledge of version and source control using TFS
   - Experience in creating databases, objects, stored procedures and
   queries using SQL Server
   - Experience writing technical design documents
   - Strong communication skills




Skills Desired

   - Understanding of SCOM or BizTalk 360 monitoring
   - Understanding of  XML and Web Service tooling such as XMLSpy and
   SOAPUI
   - Working knowledge of REST APIs using JSON
   - Experience working with SCRUM and Agile project teams




Education and Other Credentials

Minimum proven bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
