* * Our client, a privately held telecommunications firm in the Bay Area of CA, is looking for a Device Test Engineer for a 3-6 month contract. Our client is looking for an experienced wireless Device Test Engineer contractor with a strong background in GSM / UMTS devices testing. In this role, you will be responsible for certification of our client's technologic integrated on OEM devices. Working on the newest devices soon to be available in the market, you will work directly with the OEM's engineering team to plan and execute the certification testing prior to the device launch. You will also be responsible for tracking all issues to closure with the OEM team, working with them to identify the root cause of the issues and validate the resolution. You will be expected to work with the development engineers and subject matter experts to define/refine the required certification tests for existing and new features and OEM integration requirements. The ideal candidate would be focused on driving high quality from the OEM's integration of our client's technology.
