This includes providing insight and guidance on overall system design, as well as working with the development team and infrastructure solving complex technical and application software issues. The OBIEE developer will also be responsible for installation and configuration of OBIEE on identified infrastructure including LINUX, Oracle LINUX, Exalytics, and Windows environments. The Senior Oracle OBIEE developer will be a go to person for Oracle OBIEE development and expertise. They are responsible for working as part of a team and be able to be productive in a fast paced dynamic environment. This position requires someone who is hands-on with recent implementation experience with Oracle application development and business intelligence tools and technologies. The primary focus of this position is to assist the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with reporting, analytics and integration of information related to Transparency of state finances and spending and internal HR reporting. This person specifically will be maintaining and enhancing the Commonwealth Open Checkbook solution as well as being part of the team designing and developing the new HR Analytics solution for Enterprise HR reporting. Responsibilities (example is below) Designs, implements, and supports business intelligence and application solution using Oracle OBIEE and related products. Installs, configures, and maintains OBIEE in Linux environment Demonstrates excellent problem solving capabilities with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus Effectively works in a fast paced, dynamic environment Demonstrates ability to understand the big picture and direction as well as maintaining a good grasp in understanding the detailed requirements and nuances of the solution. Designs and maintain technical and project documentation. Works in a team environment supporting technical and project aspects of team related to assigned work. Strong communication skills, ability to communicate and interact at leadership and junior levels Good organizational skills with consistent attention to details Demonstrates overall high degree of professionalism Qualifications (example is below) Minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in the design and implementation of reporting solutions with Oracle OBIEE technologies, with a high degree of maturity in complex dashboard and report development Experience with latest release of OBIEE toolset Experience with Oracle BI Apps including Oracle HR Analytics a plus Minimum of 5 years recent experience in implementing web based BI solutions for internet, extranet and intranet Minimum of 5 years of experience with HTML, JavaScript and similar web development technologies Experience in OBIEE and oracle technologies in a Linux environment including installation and configuration Experience with underlying tools and technologies such as WebLogic, Apache, and similar tools Experience with OBIEE in an Oracle Exalytics environment a plus, including experience with Times Ten software Experience designing and developing public facing business intelligence sites, including portals, dashboards, basic reports (charts, graphs, maps, drill downs) and advanced reports (ad-hoc reporting, maps, etc.). Experience in database and data warehouse design Proven effective execution experience in high visibility, high criticality programs with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of the client organization State and or federal government experience helpful, but not mandatory Experience in ETL technologies, oracle ODI, etc. a plus. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
