*Job Description:*
My client has a vacancy for a System Tester for the implementation and
automation of the Rational Toolset, including (IBM/Rational) Functional
Tester, Requisite Pro, Test Manager, Clear Quest and Clear Case to support
the HR and Benefits functions of PeopleSoft HRMS. Under the direction of the
Test Manager, the Tester will develop and maintain formal test plans and
approaches to ensure delivery of quality functionality for PeopleSoft HRMS
customizations. Develop and manage test cases, automated test scripts and
plans for system, functional, stress, regression, smoke, integration,
performance, load and user acceptance testing. This person should be able to
develop functions in java and do descriptive programming, understand and add
into the existing automation Framework and troubleshoot the upcoming issues
with the integrated Rational Toolset. This person will need to have the
ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project
deadlines.

*Required Qualifications:*
• 4+yrs experience developing scripts using descriptive programming in *IBM
Rational Functional Tester*
• 4+yrs experience developing functions using *coding in java*
• 4+yrs experience using integrated tools of *Rational Suite* (*Rational
Functional Tester, Rational Manual Tester,
Test Manager, Requisite Pro, Clear Case and Clear Quest*)
• 2 + years with customizations and implementations of integrated rational
applications
• *5+ years* experience creating testing deliverables that include Test
Strategies, Cases and Scripts
• Experience testing *PeopleSoft 8.x configuration*, new functionality,
patches, fixes and upgrades
• Experience with *Disaster Recovery and backup procedures*
• Functional knowledge of *HR Benefits and payroll administration processes*
• Experience testing legacy systems and 3rd party vendor interfaces
• Experience prioritizing project work and issues
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. analysis, recreation
and very detailed oriented)
• Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and
organizational skills

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a technical/business discipline
