Job Title: Application Packager Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 2 Months Job Description • Works to determine the optimum deployment strategy to accomplish application updates in an expeditious manner. • Creates the Altiris deployment packages that are required for Altiris to be able to deliver application packages to Windows computers. • Uses Altiris system to create tasks for remotely deploying software updates to the over 12,000 desktop and laptop computers in the CG environment. • Documents results and provides the requestors with updates on the status of their deployments. Troubleshoots the causes of software deployment failures as required. • Uses Remedy tool to create, manage, and monitor those incidents associated with software deployments until resolved. • Works on resolving incidents that are related to the software deployment process. • Monitors the health of the Altiris system and creates reports on any anomalies for maintaining the infrastructure. • Provides centralized support (via phone and/or instant message) associated with software deployment matters. • Uses Altiris to create, modify and run hardware and software inventory reports.
