Position: Big-Data/Hadoop Developer with DaaS Location:Chevy Chase,MD Duration:6 mo contract Must have DaaS exp. Description: Big Data Developer will be responsible for helping deliver client Business Intelligence efforts. The candidate will be responsible for managing existing data extraction jobs, but also play a vital role in building new data pipelines from various structured and unstructured sources into Hadoop. The qualified candidate will be working with heterogeneous data models, mapping and transformation. The candidate will be responsible for working with various OR mapping tools and familiarity with Data as Service (DaaS). General Information Job Description: Candidate Qualifications • Demonstrated expertise and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java Enterprise ecosystem (Design, Development, Test, Deploy on Production) • Demonstrated expertise and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop/Hive/MapReduce/Pig/Sqoop/Flume (Design, Development, Test, Deploy on Production Hadoop cluster) • Demonstrated ability to segment and organize data from disparate sources and knowledge of data security and encryption models is desirable • Experience working with Hadoop/HBase/Hive/MRV1/MRV2 is required • Experience orchestrating complex data flows is preferable • Experience working with Apache Spark, Storm, Kafka is preferred. • Deep understanding and ability to use SQL, XML, JSON and UNIX are required • Experience in integrating heterogeneous applications is required • Working knowledge of ESB is preferred • Experience designing and supporting RESTful Web Services is required • Knowledge in various Open Source tools and technologies in Java Enterprise ecosystem is required • Demonstrated capability to drive results through effective collaboration is a must • Experience working with Systems Operation Department in resolving variety of infrastructure issues • Knowledge of Data Governance processes is a plus • Experience working with IBM CDC is a plus • Experience working with IBM Watson Explorer or Apache Solr is a plus • Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as contribute to team efforts is required • Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem solving skills • Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences • Ability and desire to learn new skills and techniques • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required *Thanks & Regards,* *Abid Hassan* | Fax: (408) 273 - 6002 Thanks and Regards, *E-mail: *a...@allianceit.com <ut...@allianceit.com> |*Website*: http://www.allianceit.com *Note:** We respect your online privacy.
