Business Intelligence (BI) Software Engineer Responsibilities: Review and
analyze ETL requirements and translate them into ETL mapping designs.
Ensure technical team members are correctly interpreting and developing in
alignment with designs. Provide technical leadership in defining and
developing ETL mappings and workflows. Troubleshoot, optimize and tune ETL
and data quality mappings. Create and execute unit test plans based on
requirements. Evaluate existing ETL mappings and processes and collaborate
with the architecture team to identify opportunities for automation and
efficiency gains. Manage multiple complex projects and recognize
relationships/synergies between them. Mentor junior team members and
contractors. Work with various IT and business teams to analyze data in the
data warehouse, data marts or operational systems. Maintain existing code
and fix bugs when needed. Occasionally provide off-hour production support.
Lead efforts to leverage metadata management tools to ensure metadata is
available to and usable by business and technical teams. Lead efforts to
leverage data quality tools that facilitate the implementation of
business-defined data quality rules. Document tasks and processes for
business and technical teams use of data quality, metadata, and ETL tools.

*Required Qualifications*:

·         5+ years using ETL tools and building ETL processes

·         5+ years of hands-on development experience

·         Experience working in a data warehouse environment

·         Strong understanding of ETL processes and standards

·         Strong understanding of relational database management system
(Oracle, SQL Server,etc.)

·         Proven ability to provide technical leadership to other
developers Understanding of Metadata Management and Data Quality principles

·         Proven experience handling large volume data integration projects
across disparate data sources and targets

·         Proven ability to successfully translate client/business needs
into software designs

·         Excellent analytical, quantitative, problem solving and thought
leadership skills

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
effectively

·         Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives within or
across project workstreams

·         Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to be an
independent thinker, strong attention to detail, and high level of personal
accountability

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio
and Outlook

·         Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or
related field of study

*Preferred Qualifications:*

·         Experience developing/designing data cubes using Microsoft SSAS

·         Experience with Microsoft SSIS, Power Pivot, Power View, and
Power BI

·         Experience developing/designing databases using SQL Server

·         Experience with Data Quality Management tools and Meta Data
Management tools (Informatica platform preferred)

*Hours:* 8:00am to 5:00pm
