*Job Description:The Database Administrator provides an understanding of
administration and processes of the Multi-versioning Microsoft SQL Server
environment (SQL*
*2012/2014) and Windows platforms. Specifically responsible for managing
development, and test Microsoft SQL Server database platforms in an
enterprise*
*datacenter environment; performing SQL Server administration and
configuration management, installation, and patch management; and database*
*performance monitoring; working with application and development teams
to provide support for new applications including new database development,*
*test environment and SQL performance tuning.*
*Key Responsibilities:Manage development, and test Microsoft SQL Server
2012/14 database platforms in an enterprise datacenter environment which
includes:SQL Server administration and configuration managementSQL server
installation and patch managementDatabase backup/recovery planning,
implementation, documentation, testing, and managementDatabase performance
monitoring, evaluation, and tuningActing as the deployment and
configuration manager to optimize and standardize the deployment of SQL
codeWork with application and database vendors on both project and
operational issues.Work with application teams to provide support for new
applications including new database development, test environment refreshes
from production,*
*stored procedure development, and SQL performance tuning.Interact with the
system and network infrastructure and application teams to maintain a
highly available data platform; provide uninterrupted database*
