Job Title:          Network Security Resources
Location:          South Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC
Duration:          6-12 Months Contract

*Products: SRX/MX knowledge a must.*

*Roles and Responsibilities:*
Essentially RE type role with ongoing daily activities in the customer’s
environment.  Expected to be onsite all day each weekday and potentially
support some Maintenance Windows as stated below.
Will answer to a customer lead. Other bulleted details outlined below apply
to both Resource Types:
•Operate and support a highly-available mission-critical datacenter network
environment
•Deployment of network and security infrastructure within the datacenter
network. This includes the project management aspects such as budgeting,
planning, ordering and scheduling of activities related to new build outs.
•Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems to ensure quick
service restoration and minimal disruption of critical applications;
•Upgrade end-of-life hardware and software to meet corporate standards.
•Monitor network for performance issues, application slowness, and capacity
reports for all network hardware in the datacenter.
•Implements Tech Bulletins and Field Service Announcements to deploy new
products, correct product issues and security threats;
•Interacts with cross functional teams from Network Architecture,
Engineering, Critical infrastructure and Security to review product
requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs;
•Maintains updated production network documentation and diagrams;
•Lead the effort to ensure that all network designs meet operational
support requirements and provide feedback to improve the resiliency and
performance of the production environment.
•Validate conformance of all new designs to industry best practices and
procedures for data center networking;
•Make recommendations for improvement in performance, resiliency, security
and monitoring of critical network components;
•Responsible for implementation planning and capacity management;
•Generate weekly/monthly reports for management on the health of the
network including key metrics and SLAs;
•Lead the effort to validate Network Ready for Use (NRFU) testing for all
new network deployments. Job Requirements:
•Support all implementation, operations activities within a 24/7 Service
Provider Network
•Must be available to work off-hours maintenance windows and on-call with a
cell phone or pager;
•15% travel may be required

*Preferred Qualifications: *
Successful candidate will have 10 years’ of direct network experience
including: knowledge of ISP carrier offerings in a multi-vendor environment
with an emphasis on Cisco and Juniper platforms.
