We are in a position where we need Quality Assurance Specialists (2-3).
These people need to be able to reverse engineer code, document a process/
program, and write test scripts which may or may not be automated in the
future. I would consider this white box testing.
*Skill Requirements:* Working knowledge of object-oriented programming
(VB.Net and C#), relational database, intermediate application design,
documentation, analysis, Familiarity with TFS, effective verbal and written
communication skills.
*Job Overview: *Develop, execute, and analyze quality assurance test
scripts to ensure information systems, product launches, upgrades, and
enhancements achieve stated objectives. Develop test scripts based on
identified project and business requirements, perform quality assurance
testing and reports test results in various formats.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
1. Ability to document and execute test cases from live products or
source code.
2. Previous experience testing web-based and WinForms
applications in .Net and SQL.
3. Experience using a commercial test tool to automate test
scripts for a web-based and WinForms applications.
4. Strong knowledge of Internet, Web-Services and
Databases Programming
or scripting experience.
5. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication (both
oral and written) skills. Good time management skills. Able to contribute
effectively with minimal supervision.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Analyze project requirements and develop detailed test
scripts to thoroughly evaluate various information technology products for
weaknesses, functionality, and compatibility.
8. Engage in continuous testing in a quality assurance
environment to detect issues and ensure requirements are met prior to
production release.
9. Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and
report test results obtained from various testing methods including
regression analysis.
10. Identify issues and work with involved individuals to develop
solutions to resolve.
11. Obtain an in-depth knowledge of the software testing tools and
methods utilized and remain current on the products, tools, and processes
utilized in the quality assurance process.
12. Assist in installations, configurations, and upgrades to
quality assurance software tools.
13. Assist and coordinate with user departments and Information
Technology staff involved in quality assurance projects.
14. Prepare and maintain technical documentation according to
stated objectives and methods.
15. Perform other duties as requested.
