Please send the resumes at r...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: GIS Analyst Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12 Months The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a Mid-Level GIS Analyst contractor for an approximate 12 month engagement on the Department's Roadway Environmental litter GIS data development initiative. This resource will be responsible for working with the customer to determining data workflows for collection, maintenance, and presentation of GIS data. This resource will be dedicated to this work effort through implementation. (80%) Assisting with development of structured processes and products through the building of GIS databases; acquiring, building, or linking to spatial data as required to support the Roadway Environmental data building initiative; performing spatial analysis; and providing analytical support. This position may perform some tasks independently or within a team environment. (10%) Prepare and maintain proper project documentation in accordance to organizational standards. Duties will include providing input to project requirements, helping develop schedules, helping with meeting notes, and generating manuals when required. 5%) Maintain an understanding of current geospatial technology in terms of software, hardware, programming languages and GIS methods. Knowledge is relevant to assigned duties, possible future duties, and overall organizational functions. (5%) All other GIS Unit related tasks as assigned.
