*Face to Face interviews only* Client is seeking a Senior Application Developer who has excellent hands-on expertise using Microsoft .NET/C#/SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, BackBoneJS and previous experience in architecting enterprise solutions for wide organizational use. Must possess a strong background in preparing detailed technical specifications and developing/testing/implementing web applications using the latest technology tools and frameworks. The developer will be working on the Human Resources Application Consolidation project which is critical for the support of the management of the agency's personnel actions. This work will modernize 18 HR line-of-business apps from legacy databases to an ERP solution. The platform will be integrated with the NYCDOT’s Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Payroll Management System (PMS) and the enterprise contact management solution. The integration efforts will focus on secure REST web services and Microsoft engineers will be engaged to ensure organizational and security best practices are being followed. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS Degree or equivalent in a technology related field or other degree preferred. 2-5 years of total experience in object oriented design, development, testing and deployment of mission critical business applications in a web/client-server environment. 1-2 years of hands-on development experience with projects involving Microsoft.NET and SQL Server technologies for web, web service and desktop application development using C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, HTML5, AJAX, WPF, WCF, MVC, jQuery, Entity Framework, LINQ, Visual Studio 2010/2013. 1+ years of relational database design, normalization, T-SQL, stored procedures, SQL Server 2008/2012, Reporting and SSIS packages. Experience in all phases of SDLC and standard SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, RUP, Agile/SCRUM to deliver client solutions. Exposure to application lifecycle management tools for configuration management, version control and testing. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Good communication, presentation and leadership skills. Team player who can establish excellent working relationships with peers and other teams. Ability to work on multiple projects as team member/developer. Ability to understand business requirements and estimate for delivery commitments. Experience using Microsoft Office Applications. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Entry-level certifications and/or training in application development. Experience in open source databases, operating system & programming languages. Experience in open source content management server Technically proficient in more than one language and platform. Expertise and knowledge of building large-scale information systems. Experience in GIS tools and map integration Application development expertise with permit management systems. Prior experience in federal/state/local government projects. Thank you!
