Position : ETL Developer Location :Austin, TX Duration : 4+ Months Job Description: Program contracts with community-based programs and agencies to provide a variety of services that help prevent abuse, neglect, delinquency, and truancy of Texas children. The company web application that supports program was built in 2000. Its current architecture is now unsupported. Company is replacing the legacy system to support today's company programs and integrate with the greater company community of tomorrow. Company requests two workers for the data conversion responsibilities on the project. Two workers will be needed for data conversion requirements relating to the new database structure such as mapping and developing extracts for the data warehouse. These workers must also have at least eight years related development experience including expertise with the Cognos/Informatica reporting tools. As ETL developers, the workers must also have strong background in data warehouse technology. The workers must work with the data warehouse, IT, and program areas to ensure work complies with the standards and all data modeling artifacts are prepared accurately and timely. Mandatory Requirements: 8 years of Experience in designing, creating, and overseeing ETL for large complex high availability Systems. 8 years of Experience conducting design sessions with subject matter experts and business process owners to meet data requirements. 8 years of Experience with Informatica 8.1 or higher (with strong knowledge of Informatica Power center 9.0 or higher) 8 years of Experience with Microsoft Suite (Projects, Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point) 4 years of Experience writing and reviewing detailed Data models for a data warehouse projects 4 years of Experience writing and reviewing detailed test scripts for System, Integration, and User Acceptance Test Phases. 2 years of Experience teaming with business owners and technical staff in a complex, large scale data warehouse projects Experience developing ETL strategies based on functional specifications Experience generating work estimates in a SDLC environment Teamwork skills, ability to lead collaboration with other functional and technical staff on the project. Proven project team building skills. Must have strong communication, organizational, planning, and documentation skills to interact with staff, users, and management; as well as having the ability to be a technical driving force within the development group. Ability to work with development/migration tools. This position will need to possess an in-depth understanding of technical design and be capable of serving as a technical quality assurance programmer/consultant.
