*SAP BW Architect* *North suburbs of Chicago (Lincolnshire, IL). * *6 Months+* ** *Tasks will include but not be limited to the following:*** • *Analyze & develop basic user requirements for new data marts, analytic applications, information solutions, reports or queries.* • *Develop data models that meet user requirements and conform to existing information architecture. * • *Create system designs and develop technical specifications to document these system designs.* • *Develop new information solutions or solution enhancements (DataSources, InfoProviders, InfoSources, InfoPackages, etc.) in accordance with user requirements, technical specifications and internal development & quality control standards. * • *Organize, execute and review results of testing and quality assurance activities associated with solution development and evaluation. * • *Create technical end user documentation and solution training materials that facilitate ongoing production support activities and user training. * • *Analyze and resolve technical problems incurred for current applications/solutions. Investigate user problems or requests for assistance for supported applications. Identify, recommend and initiate appropriate corrective action to resolve or remediate issues.* *Required Skills: *** • *Demonstrated ability to transform business needs into technical solutions. * • *Experience in Data Modeling (dimensional modeling, star schema, hierarchies, keys, etc.)* • *Thorough understanding of SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) concepts, terminology, processes and techniques to include (but not limited to): * o *ETL Services (SAP R/3 DataSources, source system extractors, LIS, LO Cockpit)* o *Storage Services (Persistent Staging Area, DSOs, InfoSources, InfoCubes, other InfoProviders, etc.)* o *Data Warehouse Physical Design* o *Development and support of Analytic Applications (data validation, performance tuning)* o *Analysis and Presentation tools (Business Explorer Query Designer, Web Application Designer, Analyzer, Broadcasting, etc.)* o *Data Mart Deployment, Management and Growth * • *Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision.
