Sr. Windows Engineer Las Vegas, NV
6+ Months *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:* • Split time approximately 40:60 between project based work and support based work; split may change depending on workload • Work on projects that include multi-tier application review, maintenance and management of file server & application servers including migration/consolidation • Support incoming application incident and request tickets in a distributed high volume environment • Administer and troubleshoot internally developed and third party applications • Manage enterprise level systems Windows OS • Experience with Windows endpoint devices running on multiple versions of Windows OS • Manage and respond to daily alerts from monitoring systems • Provide application validation for monthly patch and reboot cycle • Create application run-books, architecture diagrams and workflows or maintain existing ones for knowledge, sharing and training • Communicate proposed changes and improvements to ensure optimal performance and reliability • Participate in department on-call rotation • Leverage and train remote workforce for effective cross team training as well as resource management • Work on other ad hoc duties as assigned *SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience • 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on experience supporting Windows Server 2008 (R2) in an Enterprise Environment • Thorough understanding of working principles, and experience supporting *Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS*, Virtualization (*VMware*), Symantec *Endpoint* Protection (or similar enterprise AV) • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a scientific approach to problem investigation and resolution • Strong understanding of generally accepted system administration methodologies, tools, and techniques, and desire to instill these practices in both individual and teammates’ work • Understanding of networking, firewalls and common datacenter infrastructure • In-depth understanding of common protocols such as *DNS, DHCP, SMTP* • Experience with and willingness to follow a strict change management and incident tracking process • Functional knowledge of *PowerShell* scripting and desire to become more advanced • Passion for providing outstanding support for inbound incident tickets, as well as foresight to manage risk and scale; must know when to work independently, and when to escalate • Experience with *Citrix* is a plus • Experience with server management tools such as *Altiris, SCCM* or similar -- Thanks & Regards Divyansh Kumar divyan...@vbeyond.com VBeyond Corporation *YM*: dsingh1324 | *Gtalk*: dsingh1.tekshap...@gmail.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
