Job Title: .Net Developer w/interface development Location: Cheyenne, WY Duration: 6 Months The Wyoming SPCR Archives is seeking a developer resource to work with the Archives staff and the Wyoming Department of Health’s Vital Statistics Services (VSS) Office staff on the development of an electronic interface to connect the (VSS) system to the digital archives HP document management system (digital archives). This interface is to be established with the ability to pass Vital Records/documents and metadata from the VSS system to the digital archives for storage. After the interface between the systems has been established and tested, develop functionality to allow the VSS system users to call the records from archives based on user roles and access. Skill Area Needed: Experience interfacing multiple systems .Net and SQL server experience Preference will be given to candidates with: Knowledge of and function of the Wyoming Vital Statistics Services system, Resource Responsibilities: Develop, test and implement an interface with the VSS system and Digital Archives. Develop code for the transfer of documents and metadata from VSS system to Digital Archives. Develop roles and procedures for VSS and VSS users (based on roles) to call the documents and data from the Digital Archives for viewing. Work collaborative with Wyoming Archives and Wyoming VSS staff. Run proof of concept tests for passing and calling of documents. Identify any vulnerabilities, or issues with the end goal process and solutions for those. Specific Deliverables Resource will be Accountable for: Test and publish interface results for best practices. Specific Conditions of the Engagement: Partners and end-users of the VSS system are County Officials who access VSS applications through the WDH Gateway. The Resource will need to be familiar with this network asset and the security associated with accessing the vital records application from multiple external network(s) and environments.
