Network Firewall Administrator

Long term contract

Experience Required
5 years + of general network experience, Cisco & Juniper enterprise
environments preferred
Experience with network firewall appliances including hardware, software
and virtual Cisco ASA & Checkpoint preferred, including deployment ,
redundancy, troubleshooting, management, redundancy, zero downtime
upgrades, forensic statistics and packet gathering and analysis.
Understanding and use of integrated security services like layer 7
application aware filtering, intrusion prevention, anti-spoofing, network
address translation and port address translation.
Strong understanding of IP addressing including public and private IPv4
Ability to analyze requested access, and craft precise ingress and egress
rules to enhance security, and audit rules.
Familiarity and ability to work cooperatively and promptly within strict
change control environment
Ability to document and diagram environment using VISIO.
Flexibility in work schedule to deploy changes to these environments during
evening and night and weekend hours.
NACL clearance required
Clear English writing and speaking skills.
Strong troubleshooting, rationality, and critical thinking skills.
Recent Firewall and networking certifications helpful

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work
experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the
position.
