Locals are the priority Title: Staff Infra Engineer Location: Sunnyvale CA Duration: 12 months Sample Profiles: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adiauradkar https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrisgoffinet Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 years’ experience building scalable e-commerce applications • 5+ years of experience with building scalable, high performing and robust Java applications • Experience with big data methodologies involving Hive/Hadoop/ Spark; • Experience with Hadoop workflow management using Azkaban, Oozie, Hamake or Cascading • Hadoop stream processing using Storm • Experience with no-sql technologies like Cassandra, couchbase, Flume or Hbase. • Advanced scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Perl or Shell and willingness to learn new technologies • Experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools • Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (i.e. Jenkins, Hudson, Maven) • Experience with Code Quality Governance related tools (Sonar, Gerrit, PMD, FindBugs, Checkstyle, Emma, Cobertura, JIRA, etc) • Experience with Source Code Management Tools (GitHUB, SVN, CVS, Clearcase) • Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment Additional Preferred Qualifications • 2 years experience developing using relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL • 5+ years experience developing using J2EE technologies such as Servlet/JSP/Filters, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JMX, RMI, Java Web Services or related skill • 2 years experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools • 1 year experience developing with web/app containers such as Web Logic, Web Sphere, Apache/Tomcat, Jboss or related skill Responsibilities and Duties • Identify solutions and associated customer software and hardware. • Drive implementation and assist team members with all complex technical problems. • Identify complex technical problems and record root cause. • Manage various tasks, report progress and attain assigned delivery deadlines. • Communicate effectively at all customer management levels to assure customer satisfaction. • Lead, direct, design and architect solutions to prepare or rollout services within enterprise infrastructure. • Support all routine maintenance and provide technical assistance to the teams. • Define business needs in technical terms and interpret into functional services. • Work closely with varied Architects and Lead developers to harvest common designs to define infrastructure services and interfaces. • Prepare design to fulfill functional needs to prove scalability, maintainability and performance. • Stimulate and convey consistent design to peers and team for integration. • Lead team by example and conduct excellent code habits along with disciplined unit integration and testing. • Provide excellence and activity delivery through Agile concepts leverage. • Perform as leader through work integrity along with respect for everyone. • Provide research, recommendations and solutions for redundancy, availability, scalability, and performance improvement.
