*Immediate Need Lead Java Developer* Position : Lead Java Developer Location : Dallas, TX Duration : 6 Months Top Skills required: Position is 50% hands on / 50% Lead. Ratio is approximate, will vary based on project(s) and team size. Champion and expand efforts to put in place repeatable processes, best practices, including but not limited to production support; development life cycles. Creating and maintaining alignment within internal IT leaders and teammates and present a unified message to our business partners. Ensure existing and new processes are well trained within the team and are adhered to on a day to day basis. Multi-task across several mission-critical projects. Provide regular communication of the status of open issues, enhancements, etc. for your Team. Be a role model for your Teammates insuring and encouraging on-time delivery and immediate follow-up. Become a strong technical SME on how our systems work, the workflows, and integration with peripheral systems. Lead the effort to collaborate across IT to determine root cause of production defects; requires the full understanding of the application at the UI, middleware, and database tiers. Work through issues with business partners providing explanation of issues, business impacts, and resolution in a non-technical communication style. Insure our applications adhere to and meet compliance requirements. Desired Skills: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in application development, production support role. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT leadership role(s). Supervisory experience demonstrating willingness, desire, and ability to supervise with aptitude for coaching, mentoring, training, and developing teammate performance and skills to foster a positive work environment. Highly organized and deadline oriented with demonstrated attention to detail. High degree of initiative and ownership; able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and within a team. Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex situations, while creating structures and processes to drive clarity and results. Ability to act as an internal consultant for Teams within IT. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively throughout all levels of the organization with audiences of varying degrees of familiarity with technical material. Minimum 8 years’ experience in application development and support using .Java technologies (e.g., Fuse / JBoss, Hibernate, Spring, JCAPS, JUnit, Tomcat, JMeter, JIRA, Jenkins, Git ), third-party objects and other similar technologies. Minimum 8 years’ experience leveraging relational and OLTP database technologies such as Oracle 11g or SQL Server. Experience with Java Messaging Service (JMS) or other queuing frameworks Minimum 2 years’ experience in Web Services or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Experience with developing / consuming internal and third party web services utilizing Apache Camel, SOAP, and REST Working knowledge of Design Patterns Experience with software development estimating techniques. Experience with unit testing systems and validation tools. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline. Combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related discipline may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis.
