St. Petersburg, FL Raymond James Financial Phone and F2F; client will pay expense 12+ Months Need a very strong candidate with the following: *Hibernate, spring*, Restful, Web Services Fortune 500 experience will be strongly preferred like Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs etc… *DESCRIPTION* Primarily responsible for architecting and providing execution intelligence (architecture, design, code, configuration etc.) to build enterprise scale entity services against strategic information stores. Translates business requirements into working foundational components for Java services ensuring functional and non-functional aspects are met. Effectively identifies opportunities for change, implements change and introduces new concepts, procedures, policies and tools while providing a clear explanation of benefits and purpose. *RESPONSIBILITIES* Designs/Develops key Java entity services which are highly scalable, responsive and serve multiple consuming applications. Designs the services following Object Oriented design principals and core design patterns in a layered, modular and extensible architecture. Involved in all aspects of SDLC process from requirements, design, build through deployment. *EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS * Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and five (5) years of related experience or a combination of education, training and experience. *Minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing and building high performance internet scale Java applications.* Knowledge of/Experience in the following: o* Java, Spring, Hibernate, web services REST/SOAP, JMS, MDB, CXF, SLF4J.* * o Distributed architectures, strong OO background, SOA, web services and messaging paradigms.* o Enterprise Java technology, Web Servers and Application Containers. o Well versed in relational / non-relational data stores. o Profiling and improving performance of Java applications from threading, memory management, container optimization etc. o Automated testing frameworks unit and integration tests o Continuous delivery processes from automated build, test and deployment. *COMPETENCIES * Analysis: Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.
