Required Experience & Skills:
Senior level mainframe systems programmers who have experience in the
installation and support of operating systems software in a z/OS
environment. This would include program products and third party software
installation and customization. Tools and automation experience is also
essential to support strategic initiatives.

Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project
teams.
Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the
creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’
business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses.
As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so
as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge
technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to
HP’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical
knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer
projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the
organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and
significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project
teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer
satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating
and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical
support for deal proposal development.


Job Level Definition: Expert

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is
regarded by others within HP as a subject matter expert. Frequently
contributes to the development of new ideas/methods. Usually works on
complex problems or projects where analysis of situations or data requires
an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. Regularly exercises significant
independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to
determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Sometimes directs and supervises within area of expertise but does not
manage other employees as a primary job function. Leads and/or provides
expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross
functional initiatives. Provides mentoring and guidance to employees at
lower job levels. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to
process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the
organization to external customers/clients.

· Engineer mainframe tools & utilities

· Produce component build artifacts and publish in Knowledge Centre

· Provide 4th level delivery support for engineered solutions

· Interface with delivery organizations to develop global processes,
standards and solutions

· Interface with strategic vendors to maintain product knowledge and to
ensure engineering direction aligns with vendor roadmap

· Interface with Portfolio to ensure engineered solutions are included in
the cost models and reflected in the MMS offerings

Establish & maintain relationship with major vendors (IBM, CA, BMC & ASG)
Enroll in email auto notification for strategic and alternative products
Attend webcast seminars on product releases & future roadmap
Review vendor roadmap for alignment with HP strategic & tactical direction
Identify and submit enhancements as required (DARs, etc.)
Perform engineering due diligence on all releases & maintenance
Test new releases & enhancements


· Interface with Portfolio to ensure engineered solutions are included in
the cost models and reflected in the MMS offerings

Establish & maintain relationships with Portfolio
Review MMS offering materials with Portfolio and provide input as required
Review engineered solution with Portfolio for inclusion into the cost model
and service features

Santa Clara CA

Duration:- 3 to 6 months


Hardware (CPU) Verification Engineer

Assist the Cascade Falls CPU functional verification team as
required.Seeking an experienced senior design verification engineer for a
leading microprocessor program in Oracle Microelectronics.

Primary responsibilities include:

-Develop and execute functional test plans

-Develop verification components (checkers, monitors, infrastructure,
functional coverage objects) used to verify correctness

-Develop and apply directed or random timulus to exercise the design being
verified

-Debug failing tests to root cause and work closely with design engineers to
incorporate and verify fixes

-Debug and analyze coverage holes using VCM and/or functional coverage
results.

-Improve testbench/random/etc to improve test coverage.



Preferred Knowledge includes:

-Previous hands-on experience in microprocessor or asic verification

-Strong background in computer architecture, cache hierarchy and/or memory
subsystems

-Experience with SystemVerilog, SV-Assertions, checkers, monitors.

-Knowledge of Assembly programming is a plus, but not a requirement
