Requirement: Senior SQL Server Database Administrator - Contract Description . Performs General Administration Tasks on SQL Servers . Ensures Backups and Maintenance Occur Regularly and Reliably . Troubleshoots Production Issues on SQL Server Systems . Promotes DDL Changes to QA and Production . Installs and Configures SQL Server Instances . Rotates On-Call Duties with Other DBAs . Provides Disaster Recovery Support within Existing Infrastructure . Oversees SQL Server Security . Reviews and Analyzes Monitoring Data to Prevent Problems before They Happen Required . Bachelors in Computer Science/Information Technology - or Equivalent Work Experience . At Least Five (5) to Seven (7) Years Experience in MS SQL Server . Strong T-SQL Skills . Experience with SSDS, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS . Demonstrated Competence in Replication and Clustering . Keen Problem-Solving Abilities . Familiarity with Standard Change Control Procedures . Clear Understanding of Database Design, Referential Integrity, and Application-Development Life Cycle . Experience in Supporting Mission-Critical Database Systems . Strong Communication Abilities . Good Interpersonal Skills that Foster Coordination and Collaboration across Teams Preferred . Experience with Other Relational Databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.) . Application Development Experience (especially, VB.NET or C#) .
