To assist us in the testing web services being implemented under the
auspices of the Strategic Integration Program (SIP). The request described
below is for a QA professional with the testing experience in the Service
Oriented Architecture domain (WS* web services, security issues, complex
technical stack of middleware infrastructure) and with test automation,
specifically SOAPUI and LOADUI.


Required Skills and Experience:
Standard SQL skills are a must (we are using MS SQL Server, not MySQL)
Web services knowledge and experience using basic WS* standards (WSDL,
SOAP), XML, XSD
Understands complex infrastructure/architecture and be able to educate and
advise testing team.
Tools: SOAP UI/Load UI, SVN
Agile-related experience (Scrum, TDD)
Open/collaborative/information sharing individual. Mature professional that
is proactive and will "get" information and help as needed.
Excellent oral communication skills

Preferred Skills:
PHP Zend server environment
Experience with web services security issues and design practices. CA SOA
Gateway experience and SAML 2.0 experience is a plus
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 experience.
Oracle 10g Database experience, Oracle PLSQL experience

Optional Skills:
Experience with JIRA
Experience with XML Spy
Experience with Nagios, ELM (SEIM tool from CA)
Experience with Tibco EMS, Business Works.

Project Description
Strategic Integration Program (SIP) - a strategic initiative to implement a
common integration platform to address a wide range of integration problems,
from Application to Application integration, to integration with web-based
applications in the Cloud.

Role Description
The selected individual will be QA test designer on a small team of
(internal employee) testers, but will be the subject matter specialist in
the area of test automation with SOAPUI and LOADUI. Helping the team become
proficient with the tools is an expectation of this role. Helping the team
map out the best approach for using SOAPUI and LOADUI is also required. (In
other words, test planning, naming conventions, best practices, etc).

Tasks
Setup, configure, and support the SOAPUI and LOADUI for the team
Train and equip other testers and provide ongoing "how-to" support
Assist in test script development and execution
Help debug infrastructure and processing issues between
WSDL/XSD/SOAPUI/LOADUI
Provide guidance for best practices in change management for testing
artifacts and relationship to WSDL, etc
Assist in test script development for cases that cannot use SOAPUI,
including system logs and direct URL testing
Assist in test script development and execution of security testing

  Req. ID: 9112 - PHP Developers Description: Role Description
The selected individual will be a developer on an Agile/Scrum Component
Development team that is charged with developing a core set of web services
that will be reused by many project teams. The individual will ultimately
play a web services support role, providing tier 2 and tier 3 level support
as well. Development skills on Tibco technologies is also targeted for this
individual to address other integration problems.

Required Skills and Experience:
• PHP Zend Community Edition development experience
o PHP 5 experience is a must (PHP 5.3.2 is our current version)
o PHPUnit is required
• Standard SQL skills is a must (we are using MS SQL Server, not MySQL)
• Web services knowledge and experience using basic WS* standards (WSDL,
SOAP), XML, XSD
• Experience with XPATH, XSLT, etc
• Design Patterns: Gang of Four (Strategy, Singleton, etc)
• Integration Patterns: Request/Reply.
• Problem solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills. Ability
to read syslogs.
• Tools: SVN, Eclipse, XML Spy and/or SOAP UI/Load UI,
• Agile-related experience (Scrum, TDD)
• Open/collaborative/information sharing individual. Mature professional
that is proactive and will "get" information and help as needed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills:

capabilities (MQ, AQ, etc)
• Experience with Tibco EMS, Business Works, and Hawk Adapters (Database,
File, Lotus Notes, Oracle Ebusiness Suite, etc.)
• Experience with CA products, Siteminder, SOA Gateway, Access Control, ELM
• Experience with Nagios, Foglight

Tasks
1. Troubleshoot and provide support as web services issues are found in
System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and Production.
2. Support and give input to development, test, and production environment
setup including monitoring and alerting capabilities
3. Interact with Product Owners and developers from external project teams
to ensure that service interfaces meet expectations and external teams
aren't blocked because of dependencies on the Component Development team
4. Design and build web services using the PHP Zend Community Edition, an
existing architecture pattern for web services unique to World Vision, and
one or more common design patterns such as the Strategy Pattern, or the
Singleton Pattern, etc.
5. Create and execute unit tests for all web services using a Test Driven
Development approach and PHPUnit as the tool.
6. Follow good code management practices using SVN and help the team move
toward a Continuous Integration build process.
7. Follow emerging security standards and help the team move toward improved
Secure Development Lifecycle practices.
8. Participate in all Agile Scrum related activities, e.g., Daily Stand up
meeting, Sprint Planning sessions, Product Owner Demos, Retrospective
meetings, identify/move tasks on our Kanban board, etc
